Greetings and salutations! I’m so happy you found Buhv. It’s been my passion and baby (read: the source of my grey hair) for the last 4 years, and I appreciate you checking us out. You clicked my bio, and I assume you’d like to know more about me. Here we go… As a child, I grew up in a small town in southwest Ohio called Beavercreek in a loving family of five. Growing up, I was an avid golfer and baseball player, BMX’er, percussionist, and lifelong fan of the Bengals. It’s a curse. I have no sympathy for Denver Bronco fans. Early in my life, I remember becoming obsessed with commercials, particularly this one, and loved the concept of persuasion and psychology. It wasn’t until 20 years later that I connected the dots and made it a career. As most Ohioans quickly realize, there’s only so much you can do with cornfields (reminder: write blog post of “top 300 things to do with cornfields”). After cutting my teeth as a sales a marketing executive with AT&T, I moved to the data and research industry at LexisNexis in a similar role. While there I traveled frequently to Colorado and quickly fell in love with Denver and the wanderlust of the Rockies. After several years working in telecom, higher education, and legal, it was time to follow my instinct and Go West. No more cubelife or printer issues for me! Throughout my life, the idea of owning and running my own business has always been the plan. After a few failed and successful attempts, what is now Buhv was born. Denver has been a huge jumping off point for my career as an entrepreneur, and I’ve been lucky to meet some incredible people in the business community here. One of which is my business partner, Alex Hemker. Another big influence that has helped shape and change me as a leader is EO (Entrepreneur’s Organization). I’m forever thankful to the group of peers that help me face the challenges of running a small business every day. Throughout the intense and rapid growth of Buhv, I’ve been fortunate to have a team that has not only supported my vision for the company, but has taken it to a level I never thought possible. I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with the best in Denver–they make me look way better than I am and keep me humble. When I’m not at Buhv I’m spending time as a Father with my beautiful girlfriend Michelle, my son Anderson, and Michelle’s son Theodor. We love cooking as a family, golfing, long Colorado hikes, and hanging out with our dogs Bruce and Peyton.
